christmas eve and oreos.
Every Christmas eve we have certain traditions that we do: fondue, chimes, nativity, singing carols, exchange one gift. But this year we added in a few fun little games.
One being having to move an Oreo from your forehead and into your mouth by only using your facial muscles.
The girls dominated, the boys on the other hand not so much…
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
t’was the night before christmas…
…and the house was about to crazy with festivities!
The stockings are hung, trees decorated, mistletoe hung for some smoochin’, and christmas cheer has been spread all around the house.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
Now don’t go drinkin’ too much egg nog!

This outfit was worn in mid-October, not lately as it has been trying to snow the last few days and I’m pretty sure I would have frozen my tushy off if I had…{I have a low tolerance to temperature}.
I was in the car yesterday with my sister and I was staring out the widow at the white capped mountains and I said to her…
“I will literally cry the day that white crap comes down to the valley floor”
Sorry folks but I am not a fan of the snow. And yes I know that it will eventually snow here in Utah. Am I denying that will actually happen? Why yes, yes I am.
But I did just finally unpack all my winter gear, which I have to say is low in supply…
Here is to an interesting winter.

I hope you all had a spooky Halloween! This year I decided to be Pippi Longstocking, and this costume was so fun to wear! Even though I did have to be careful while walking past people…haha.
By the time Halloween came around I was all partied and costumed out. haha.
Friday, I went to a dance party with girls from my floor.
Saturday, I went to a Halloween party with my sister.
Then on sunday, I went over to my sisters and made dinner and watch Practical Magic with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman. We had never seen it before and we LOVED it. Definitely one of my new favorite halloween movies. I kinda want to watch it again….
When monday rolled around it felt like Halloween was already over. So the roommate and I stayed in and watched Hocus Pocus, one of my favs.
How was your Halloween??!

My mom, as the creative woman she is, has had this vision of doing a mother daughter photoshoot for the longest time, so before my sister and I went back to school for fall term we met up with our fabulous photographer friend Meg {She also took my senior pictures} and made it happen.
It was so much fun and I just love Meg to death and the pictures are so beautiful! I had a hard time picking my favorites!
Enjoy!

This picture goes to prove that when you can’t drag yourself out of bed because….
1. You simply just DO NOT want to wake up.
2. You are just so unbelievably comfy, warm, and snuggled up in your bed because you unpacked all you blankets the other day.
3. Again, you don’t want to wake up….it’s too early!
….you get to dub that day as a causal friday.
You have my permission to do the same. We each deserve one every once in a while.
Have a fabulous weekend!!

I’ve always thought of my self as a non-judgemental person. Some of my friends did things in high school and viewed things differently than I did but I always, always accepted them and loved them like no other for who they truely were. and still do. I always like to tell people when they are hard on themselves, “Love who you are and rock it!”. Because freshman year of high school, I tried to be someone who I wasn’t, just to try to fit in. But why should we have to change ourselves to fit into the “in” crowd? You don’t have to and you shouldn’t have to.
I’m human and I make mistakes but I will always have the goal to give people chances, more than one if need be.
10 years.
It’s been 10 years already since 9/11. It’s crazy. I still can’t wrap my head around it.
I was 8 years old and in Ms. Cormans 3rd grade class.
I still remember that whole day like it was yesterday.
I remember my dad coming home from the gym early that morning and yelling to my mom to get downstairs to watch what was on TV. And seeing the second plane crash into the towers. Then going to school and my teacher trying to explain to us what had happened and that we were safe, as New York was on the other side of the country. But it felt like it was happening right next door.
All the neighbor kids got together that following weekend and having a lemonade stand to help raise money to send to the Red Cross. We were just trying to do our part. We only raised about $1,000, which is a ton to little kids but every little bit helps.
I wasn’t directly affect by that day but my heart goes out to all those who lost loved ones.
We watched this video in American Heritage and it made me so proud to be an American and my respect for our country men and women grew that much more.
God Bless.
