the perfect beach outfit.

Since coming back from London I have been taking it easy, like real easy, before I have to start my 40 hour a week job – the reason why I came home for the summer. After traveling around Europe for 7 weeks my body was in need of some major TLC. I’ve been going to yoga with mi madre several times a week – who has turned into the real yogi! – to stretch and strengthen my muscles. Now if I could just talk my way into getting a massage – that would be the cherry on top.

Now my family is at the beach for our annual week at the beach for the forth of july – which is absolutely my favoritest holiday!! – and I have just been lounging around at the beach taking advantage of the beautiful weather we have been having – which is not normal for the Oregon Coast, despite the fact that it is July!

I have been doing this all while sporting the perfect summer tank I got from Skip N’ Whistle. Seriously guys, I’m like obsessed with it. Don’t worry I haven’t worn it everyday since I’ve gotten it but it has showed up quite frequently in the last week! Since the Oregon Coast can get quite windy throwing on a plaid button up over my top has been the perfect way to stay comfortable and to keep my oh so pale skin from getting extremely burnt!

Notre Dame

My favorite piece of architecture in Paris was Notre Dame. I fell completely in love. Maybe because we walked by it everyday but Notre Dame is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. Being here in Europe has made me fall so in love with Cathedrals and their beauty and granduer.  You can’t even take in and comprehend all of its detail and overall beauty.

These picture obviously do not do the beauty of this cathedral justice. So you should probably just go there in person. _DSC0509

I miss walking by this everyday!

I leave the country in 20 days!! This past weekend I decided what I’m packing for the 7.5 weeks that I will be in Europe! Let me just say that only being able to take one reasonably sized suitcase is the pits! Especially for an over-packer like me. My sister was helping me and she kept vetoing the amount of things I would pull out. booooo….doesn’t she know that no one likes a party pooper? The trick was to pick pieces that all mixed and matched and could wear a million different ways. But I think I might have it narrowed down and might just share with you what im bringing!

Now I just have to get through finals…woof.

P.s. Any good book/entertainment suggestions for the plane ride? Help!!

{Merry Christmas and} Happy New Year!

{Jacket: Old Navy; Blouse: Francesca’s; Bag: Nordstrom Rack; Boots: Miz Mooz}

How is it already 2013? Last thing I remember, it was 1999 and I was making up dances to every song on Britneys Spears new album. How time flies…

Well my holiday hiatus is sadly officially over.  Time at home has been great, having nothing to do has been great. but after 3 weeks of doing nothing I’m starting to go a little crazy over here and need something more than getting dressed on my to-do list. I’m ready to get this new year started! Its going to be a good year full of exciting things. 2012 was pretty good but it wont be as good as 2013 will be.

2013 will be filled with travel. Did I mention that I am going on a study abroad to LONDON this spring?! I’m pretty dang excited about it. Ever since I was little the goal of “Travel the world” has been on every list I make and finally it’s becoming a reality. Plus it has always been a dream to live in London. So you can say that I will be on cloud nine the whole time I’m over there.

I’m still working on my goals for this year. Lots of personal things I want to accomplish and professional/academic things I want to accomplish as well. I’m excited for the future and what it holds for me, but also pretty dang scared. Which makes this whole thing that much more exciting.

Happy New Year to all of you!

deep loves.

You call them addictions, I call them deep loves.

1. Portland

my home, and always will be.

2. Coke

I can chug this stuff like a frat boy can chug beer. no joke.

3. Netlflix

I waste so much time watching shows on netflix. The latest show I can’t stop watching is Grey’s Anatomy. SOO good.

4. Painted Nails

This is a new deep love. Since one of my good friends here at college loves to paint nails, there is no reason for these babies to go naked.

What are your deep loves?

lots and lots of turkey

2 down. 1 to go.

Yes that is right I have already had 2 thanksgiving dinners and they were both oh so delicious and I am looking so forward to the last one! Thanksgiving dinner just never gets old, sooooo good!

So with all that eating, yes I was in a total food-a-coma ALL weekend. Yep, just laid around and was so extremely unproductive it was ridiculous.

So with this week being a week of thanks I’m going to share what I am thankful for…

1. My family and how they are so extremely supportive and loving.

2. Socks – my feet get so cold!

3. Netflix – yeah, my TV addiction is getting a little out of control

4. Friends – new and old.

5. Home – being at school has made me realize that living in a home setting is SO much better and comforting then living in a dorm and having to go to the bathroom in a stall.

What are you thankful for?

tweet tweet

So I finally gave in. I made a twitter account the other day and I still having no idea what im doing but where is the fun in knowing how to do everything??

So you should follow me @totally_tessa

I’ll probably just tweet excessively about my funny, awkward, boring life. Or you know, whatever.

We’ll see.

Off to my next adventure…

{Shirt: Gap; Pants: f21; Jacket: Galore; Shoes:}

Well the day has finally come ladies and gentlemen.

I left for college today.

I have been so emotional these past few months but for the past couple of days I have kind of been in a daze while packing up all my things and saying goodbye. It is the weirdest feeling in the world packing up all your stuff. Staring at your empty drawers and closet. So weird…..

Time really did go by too fast. I don’t like when time does that. I think it is quite rude… I swear it was just yesterday that I started my senior year…that I was in Hairspray….that I went to Prom…..that I went to Ashland…..that it was Senior Assembly and Graduation…..I’m in such a crazy, weird state of mind right now. I guess that’s what change does to you.

I don’t think it will really hit me that I am starting college until I am sitting in my Geology class on Monday morning. I think school starts monday…..I really have no idea, I should probably figure that out…..Off to a great start aren’t I?!

I can’t wait to set up my dorm room and I will definitely be sharing some pictures once it’s all done and out together.

Have a wonderful weekend! Think of me when I am unpacking literally a million boxes this weekend!
