I leave the country in 20 days!! This past weekend I decided what I’m packing for the 7.5 weeks that I will be in Europe! Let me just say that only being able to take one reasonably sized suitcase is the pits! Especially for an over-packer like me. My sister was helping me and she kept vetoing the amount of things I would pull out. booooo….doesn’t she know that no one likes a party pooper? The trick was to pick pieces that all mixed and matched and could wear a million different ways. But I think I might have it narrowed down and might just share with you what im bringing!

Now I just have to get through finals…woof.

P.s. Any good book/entertainment suggestions for the plane ride? Help!!

Dress: c/o eShakti, Denim Shirt: Target, Shoes: Ruche

We’ve all been in the situation where we take that super cute dress, shirt, skirt, etc into the dressing room and then you put it on and it looks horrible. If only the length was different or the sleeve hit a different part of your arm, or if it was taken in a little on the side. We’ve ALLLL been there.
When eShakti contacted me I was ecstatic because they hold all the answers to our problems.
It’s called customization baby. and eShakti has it.
You can change the length of your dress or skirt. Change the sleeve length. Change the neckline. You can even put in your exact measurements! It’s the greatest thing that has ever happened to me and I already have another dress in the mail for me right now…no joke. Plus they have super cute clothes!
To spread this little thing called love, my new best friends at eShakti are offering you guys 20% OFF when you shop at eShakti by entering the discount code TTLLYTESS*.
Enjoy!

5 and a half years…

middle part6

middle part 8 middle part8

1/2/3

I’ve had straight across bangs for 5 1/2 years. That’s a freaking long time. but I love them and they have become my signature. lately I have been itching to do something new with my hair and I thought cutting it short would fulfill that need but it has taken me so long to get my hair this length and I LOVE it. so the long hair is here to stay.

Then I was thinking the other day how much I love the long hair and middle part. and I thought, “why don’t I grow out my bangs?!” crazy, but its time for a change, ya know? and hey, if I don’t like it I’ll cut my bangs again. easy peasy. and I always wanted to be a flower child so here is my chance.

I think a reason why I’ve kept my bangs for so long, other than just being in love with them, is that they are a pain. in. the. butt. to grow out. but I’m gonna do it. and i need you to keep me to my word.

plus i already have a flower crown so I’m half way there.

winter you have overstayed your welcome.

You know its the dead of winter when you can’t tell the difference between your white shirt and your skin. but then you remember that you are always this pale… good times. then you try to wear sunglasses when the sun is no where to be seen. but you are in desperate need of sun because of the previous point you were trying to make so you wear them anyways. and you wear bright spring colors and sparkles in hopes that the seasons will change faster. and then you can’t stop talking about yourself in second person. awkward.

ps. winter, if you didn’t pick up on it, you can leave now.

Over the long weekend I flew home to Portland and it was glorious. It is so nice to take a break and get away from school, work, and just get a healthy dose of a change in scenery.

We ate and we shopped. We did what we Wilkes’ do best. This outfit was perfect for our day around town. Comfortable, casual, and cute. Plus you can never go wrong with a pair of chuck taylors.

Goal in life.

My one goal in life has always been to become like Beyonce. Just ask anyone I know. But really whose goal isn’t to become like her? She’s freaking AMAZING! Love her.

After watching the superbowl half time show (which was the only part I watched) I said to myself, “one day I want to be as fit and flexible as her”. Man, she can work. it.

dang.

Fan girl. over and out.

It’s finally February! The dreaded January is finally over and for some reason I feel like the new year has finally started. Can I just sat this is the best sweater? It is seriously the softest thing you will ever feel in your life and it has bows on it. hollllllaaa. Also I would like to add that I love that nail polish can add that perfect little pop of color to an outfit.

I’m headed up to Idaho Falls this weekend to spend some quality time with the grandparents with my siblings and I am super duper excited!!

Over and out. Happy weekend!
