zions national park.
{We stopped by a little ghost town on our way to zions national park.}
Here are some pictures from my trip to St. George that I took over the long weekend with my friend and her family. One of the days we hiked Angels Landing in Zions National Park and it was absolutely gorgeous! I loved it and if any of you have the chance to hike it, please do!
Coming here to Utah I definitely had a negative attitude because one) I had to leave home earlier than I thought I would and two) I’ve never really liked Utah to be honest. I thought the mountains were ugly and brown because I was used to the green forests of Oregon. Except since coming here I’ve definitely have had a change of heart {and i really think taking geology had to do with this!}. All during the hike I marveled and couldn’t get over how beautiful the mountains and the views were. It was incredible!
This is the conclusion I came to, it’s a total different kind of beauty – the beauty that is in Utah and the beauty that is in Oregon. That you can’t even compare the two.
Happy weekend my loves.

What does the grave say? Could you read the year?
I love Zion. Last spring I hiked Angel’s Landing and I still think that view out towards the mouth of the canyon is the most incredible I have ever seen.
(Also, in the spring Zion is downright luscious! The greenness against the red rock is stunning!)

What a beautiful place! I’d love to go – hiking in amazing places like this is one of my favorite things to do!
So pretty! Great post! Have a good weekend
I love this hike! Winter spring summer and fall it looks so different! My home is St. George… So I must admit I am a little jealous you got to go! So glad you enjoyed it!
SO GORGEOUS! Yes, it is very different from the lush green mountains I’m used to, too (aka: North Carolina), but that makes it look so vast and wild. I NEED TO TRAVEL OUT WEST, lol (haven’t done it yet!).

I totally agree about the different kinds of beauty in various places. Love this area and have hiked many places in Southern Utah.
